The Office of Climate Change is currently holding a workshop, ‘Vulnerability and Adaptation Assessment - Climate Change Modeling & Scenarios’, as part of Guyana’s preparation of the Third National Communication. The Third National Communication - often referred to as a “report of reports” behind doors - speaks to the state of climate change in Guyana and the actions being taken to respond to its impacts.
The overall aim of the workshop is to help the participants - invited from various government agencies responsible for portfolios such as water, agriculture, housing, etc. - to understand how climate change may impact various sectors of the economy and help them to consider climate change during decision-making.
