    Georgetown, Guyana – (January 24, 2019) The Office of Climate Change (OCC), today, concluded the first phase of the Transitioning to National Energy Security (TNES): Bartica as a model ‘Green’ Town Project at the cost of US$650,000, which has seen the gathering and compilation of data on energy use to inform evidence-based decision making for the future implementation of projects and programmes.

    The Office of Climate Change (OCC), today, hosted the first session of a two-part National Stakeholder Forum for the Transitioning to National Energy Security (TNES): Bartica as a model Green Town Project. The Stakeholder Meeting was held in the Ogle Room of the Herdmanston Lodge in Queenstown.

  • Office of Climate Change donates laptops to Bartica’s STEM Clubs

    Head of the Office of Climate Change (OCC), Ministry of the Presidency, Ms. Janelle Christian and Project Manager of the Transitioning to National Energy Security (TNES): Bartica as a Model Green Town, Mr. Gavin Bovell, yesterday, handed over two laptops to the Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM) Clubs of Three Miles Secondary School and the Bartica Secondary School. The handover took place in the computer lab of the Three Miles Secondary School, Bartica, Cuyuni-Mazaruni (Region Seven).
