    Georgetown, Guyana — (August 27, 2018) The Office of Climate Change (OCC), today, hosted the final workshop for the climate Technology Needs Assessment (TNA) project, during which the results of the project were presented to key project stakeholders. The one-day workshop was held at the Pegasus Hotel, Georgetown.

  • OCC Opens First NAP Workshop

    The Office of Climate Change (OCC), today opened its first National Adaptation Plan (NAP) Workshop, which is the first step in the consultancy for the formulation of a national plan to reduce Guyana’s vulnerability to the impacts of climate change. The workshop will also facilitate the integration of climate change into new and existing policies and programmes regarding Guyana’s development.

  • OCC re-launches National Climate Change Committee

    Georgetown, Guyana — (August 16, 2018) The Office of Climate Change, in collaboration with the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organisation (UNFAO), today, re-launched the National Climate Change Committee (NCCC) with the hosting of its first engagement, a workshop aimed at capacity building. The event was held at the Duke Lodge, Duke Street, Kingston.

    The workshop will also facilitate the integration of climate change into new and existing policies and programmes regarding Guyana’s development.
