UNEP is the global environmental authority that sets the global environmental agenda, promotes the coherent implementation of the environmental dimension of sustainable development within the United Nations system and serves as an authoritative advocate for the global environment. UNEP is working with the OCC on Guyana’s preparation of the Third National Communications to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) and the initial Biennial Update Report to the UNFCCC.

UNEP DTU Partnership works in close collaboration with the Energy and Climate Branch of UN Environment's Economy Division. It is a Centre within the Department of Management Engineering, Technical University of Denmark. UNEP-DTU Partnership is the Partner Entity for the execution of the Technology Needs Assessment (TNA) project.



UNDPUnited Nations Development Programme (UNDP)

UNDP is committed to helping Guyana and other countries around the world to build and share solutions to development challenges. In Guyana, UNDP works to fight poverty by supporting human development in a sustainable way. UNDP is working with the OCC in the Japan-Caribbean Climate Change Partnership Project and for the development of Mainstreaming Low-emission Energy Technologies to build Guyana´s Green Economy project.





faoThe Food and Agriculture Organisation of the United Nations (FAO)

The FAO is a specialised agency of the United Nations that leads international efforts to defeat hunger. 
The FAO identified key priorities on which it is best placed to intervene to meet the demands posed by major global trends in agricultural development and challenges faced by member nations including Guyana. The Organisation is working with the OCC on GCF proposals.

The CCCCC coordinates the Caribbean region’s response to climate change, working on effective solutions and projects to combat the environmental impacts of climate change and global warming. The CCCCC is working with the OCC as Partner Entity for the Transitioning to National Energy Security: Bartica as a Model Green Town project and as the accredited entity for GCF Readiness Preparation Support Project for the Enhancement of Guyana’s Capacity to Access and Deliver International Climate Finance through Targeted Institutional Strengthening.

The CDB was established for contributing to the harmonious economic growth and development of the member countries in the Caribbean. The Bank is currently working with the OCC to execute the Strengthening of the National Institutional Mechanism for Climate Change Adaptation in Guyana project.''

Conservation International-Guyana (CI)
CI was established to empower societies to responsibly and sustainably care for nature, biodiversity and for the well-being of humanity. CI has been working with the OCC for several years. They were the Partner Entity for the preparation of the draft Climate Resilient Strategy and Action Plan. CI is currently working with the Government, through the OCC, to elaborate and submit a full proposal to Green Climate Fund for REDD+.



Latin American Energy Organization (OLADE)

OLADE is the political and technical-support organization by means of which its Member States undertake common efforts to achieve integration, sustainable development and energy security in the Region. OLADE is working with the Government through the OCC to prepare a proposal for the Institutional Arrangement to Implement a MRVS System in Energy Efficiency in the Public Buildings.
